Aldea, sanctuaries of calm for everyday life

With noble materials, timeless forms, and comfort designed for people, Aldea transforms offices, hotels, and social spaces into warm, welcoming refuges.

esPattio presents Aldea, the new collection of armchairs, ottomans, and low tables designed by renowned French designer Christophe Pillet. Conceived to bring serenity and comfort to contemporary soft-seating spaces, Aldea combines the nobility of wood, the purity of timeless lines, and a warm design that invites people to inhabit spaces naturally.

Each piece is crafted to offer a personal retreat—whether in offices, hotels, or social environments—through the carefully balanced proportions of its volumes, the gentle feel of its fabrics, and the solid oak structure that defines the collection. This is complemented by a commitment to sustainability and a selection of materials that reflect the essence of esPattio: Light, Color, and Warmth.

Would you like to discover how Aldea transforms the way we experience and share spaces? Join us on this journey and step into the soul of the collection!

Rediscover comfort with Aldea

The essence of Aldea lies in the nobility of its materials and the serenity of its design. The oak wood frame brings warmth, strength, and character to the whole, while the upholstery—combined with different foam densities—envelops the user in a balanced and welcoming comfort experience. Each armchair, ottoman, or table is conceived as an autonomous element that, when combined, multiplies configuration possibilities: from creating an intimate corner to defining a larger meeting area.

A series capable of enhancing presence and elevating the brand image of any project on its own. The combination of flexibility, pure lines, and premium materials makes Aldea an ideal solution for offices, hotels, and lounge spaces. Under Christophe Pillet’s vision, the collection achieves a balance between simplicity and sophistication, making it much more than just an armchair: a design proposal that inspires new ways of inhabiting spaces.

Veleta according to Christophe Pillet

At esPattio, we take pride in collaborating with the most prestigious designers on the international scene, and with Aldea, we’ve joined forces with the sensitivity and experience of Christophe Pillet, one of the most respected voices in contemporary design. For Pillet, the starting point was clear: to conceive a collection that conveys serenity while naturally integrating into the everyday life of spaces. It’s not about creating furniture that seeks immediate visual prominence, but about shaping pieces that feel approachable, honest, and human.

The designer himself describes Aldea as a collection that is “simple, natural, nostalgic, handcrafted, and timeless.” These words perfectly capture the essence of the project: objects that don’t need to embellish or impose themselves, but instead persuade through the purity of their lines, the nobility of their materials, and the warmth they convey in use. Pillet emphasizes that Aldea is not an object for contemplation, but a proposal meant to be lived in—to sit on, to share moments of pause, conversation, or rest. This idea of “emotional functionality” is what gives the collection its meaning and sets it apart from other offerings on the market.

He also highlights Aldea’s contribution to the world of soft seating, where it introduces “discretion and elegance—the idea that furniture should serve people, not outshine them.” In his words, “the heroes are the users, not the furniture.” That vision is reflected in every constructive detail, especially in the use of oak, a material that, as he explains, “turns each piece into a true work of cabinetry; its shape, grain, and joinery express real value and warmth, beyond mere decoration.”

Finally, Pillet underscores the versatility of Aldea—a design that “can be placed anywhere”—and its shared vision with esPattio: “to find distinctive objects that are more local, more human, and more unique—far removed from the uniform and the dull.”

Elegance and presence for premium spaces

Thanks to the exquisite design and the quality of its noble materials, Aldea brings elegance and presence that make it ideal for hospitality environments and premium lounges in high-end projects. Its leather upholstery enhances this impression, accentuating the collection’s refined aesthetic. With a minimalist language and a delicate balance between softness and firmness, each armchair becomes a piece with its own character—capable of humanizing and elevating any space it inhabits.

Its versatile finishes make it a chameleonic series, adaptable to office spaces with fabrics that reinforce corporate identity, while also standing out as true statement pieces—perfect for hotels or hospitality areas seeking to convey calm and sophistication.

Veleta: versatile and sophisticated design for soft seating spaces

This collection of modular sofas combines clean lines, enveloping comfort, and compositional freedom, inviting you to transform every soft seating space into a flexible, human-centered environment full of possibilities.

esPattio presents Veleta, the new collection of modular sofas designed by the renowned London-based studio Pearson Lloyd. Created to keep pace with the evolving nature of contemporary soft seating spaces, Veleta combines balance, sophistication, and a unique versatility that invites the creation of environments with endless module combinations.

Each module functions as an independent piece that can expand, rotate, or be freely reconfigured, creating endless combinations. This is complemented by a carefully curated selection of upholstery, gentle geometries, and enveloping comfort that embody esPattio’s signature: Light, Color, and Warmth.

Do you want to discover how Veleta transforms the way we experience spaces? Are you curious to explore its multiple configurations and finishes? Join us on this journey and delve into the essence of this collection!

Discover the Essence of Veleta

The essence of Veleta lies in the harmony of its components. The metal structure, available in the esPattio color palette, brings strength and character to the whole, while the fabrics envelop the user with warmth and comfort.

This union of material, color, and design gives rise to a unique piece, capable of blending naturally into any environment and transforming it with a discreet yet characterful presence. Moreover, its modularity further reinforces this essence.

Each module can be freely configured, adapting to the needs of the moment: from creating an intimate atmosphere to shaping an open and collaborative area. This flexibility, combined with the expressive character of its forms and finishes, makes Veleta a versatile and contemporary solution that responds to the dynamism of today’s spaces. All of this is enriched by the vision of Pearson Lloyd.

Its ability to balance clean lines, gentle proportions, and a timeless visual language brings coherence and sophistication to the whole. Thanks to this perspective, Veleta transcends the function of a modular sofa to become a design proposal that inspires new ways of living and inhabiting spaces.

The design of Veleta

At esPattio, we take pride in collaborating with some of the most renowned designers on the global scene. In this spirit, we have been working for years with the British studio Pearson Lloyd—first with our modular bookshelf Libro, and now with our new collection, Veleta.

For Pearson Lloyd, the starting point in designing Veleta was a common challenge in modular furniture: finding a true balance between work and relaxation. As they explained to us, many market proposals end up being an uncomfortable compromise between the two. Veleta breaks away from that pattern by incorporating different depths and heights in its modules, allowing each person to find a welcoming spot—whether to focus, converse, or unwind. Color also plays a key role in this proposal.

The metal structure, available in the esPattio color palette, introduces an expressive dimension that adds dynamism and a sense of identity to the whole. Far from being a decorative detail, color becomes a tool to personalize spaces, enhance their character, and create a more engaging and playful experience for those who inhabit them. Ergonomics is another key pillar on which the design is built.

Pearson Lloyd conceives Veleta as a system designed to embrace everyone, regardless of body type or individual needs. Its modularity not only makes it easy to reconfigure the sofa, but also opens the door to ever-changing compositions that adapt to the rhythm of workspaces, hospitality settings, or social environments in general. Veleta invites encounter and interaction through a refined and timeless aesthetic.

In the words of its designers, what makes this collaboration with esPattio truly special is the creative freedom to explore color, texture, and the emotions conveyed by materials. With Veleta, Pearson Lloyd brings a welcoming and intelligent vision to the world of soft seating: furniture that not only meets the functional needs of spaces, but also radiates a positive energy that transforms the way people experience and share them.

Functionality and Comfort in Veleta

Beyond functionality, Veleta offers a balanced design that combines clean lines with enveloping upholstery, creating spaces that exude calm and harmony. Even in educational or creative environments, where interaction and innovation are essential, Veleta adds value by enabling fluid and open layouts. In short, it is a modular sofa that transforms any space into a more human, contemporary, and versatile environment. As you can imagine, Veleta is not an ordinary sofa, but a modular system that naturally adapts to the ever-changing dynamics of spaces that demand soft seating furniture.

Its versatility makes it a key piece in modern offices that prioritize flexibility, as well as in hotels, cafés, or waiting areas seeking to convey comfort and sophistication. Wherever elegant and adaptable furniture is needed, Veleta fits effortlessly, creating welcoming atmospheres that feel both practical and inspiring.

Behind Baelo product design: Archirivolto Design

In an exclusive interview, the Italian designers explain every detail behind esPattio’s new launch: the Baelo range of meeting tables.

Archirivolto Design is an Italian design studio founded in 1983 by Marco Pocci and Claudio Dondoli. Today, it has six partners, including Cristian Gori, the creative director of Baelo, who joined the firm in 1996.

Archirivolto’s core business is furniture design, particularly chairs and tables. Its designs stand out for being simple and lightweight, as well as for their emotional impact. The products also aim to be aesthetically pleasing and “democratic”, i.e. available to any audience.

In an interesting conversation, this prestigious Italian studio will explain all the details, secrets and questions behind Baelo, the meeting table that is its first design for the soft seating brand inspired by the South.

Archirivolto Design: “Customers are looking for furniture that is immediately understandable, easy to manage and transformable”

According to Archirivolto Design, Baelo is “a range of meeting tables designed for corporate offices, which stands out for its base made using the rotomoulding technique”. Despite its corporate design, Archirivolto Design emphasises that “it is also perfect for use in the food service industry, such as hotels, cafés and restaurants. It’s so flexible that it could even be used in the home!”.

And its adaptability is one of the great strengths of this range of meeting tables. Baelo can be adapted to almost anyone’s needs. It is available as a round, rectangular or square table, with one, two or three bases, elliptical or barrel-shaped, and even as a high table.“Customers are looking for furniture that is immediately understandable, easy to manage and transformable, furniture that can seamlessly blend into spaces and architecture” explained Archirivolto Design when we asked them about Baelo’s ability to adapt to all types of spaces.

Baelo also stands out for “the simplicity of its structure, assembly and modularity” as well as the possibility of being electrified, a feature made possible by the hollow shape of its base, and the multiple lacquers for its base and tabletop finishes.

Despite its many qualities, for Archirivolto Design, Baelo’s most important role is its ability to relate to people’s needs to create the perfect room. “We would like Baelo to generate the feeling that each person is relating to the right object, finding it comfortable and satisfying their needs”, explained the design studio directors.

Archirivolto Design: “Baelo adds the touch of home needed to give warmth to an office setting”

The entire design process required extensive research. Baelo needed “the repeated creation of prototypes” which eventually allowed Archirivolto Design “to optimise the project” to achieve the Baelo we know today.

Archirivolto Design expects Baelo to be a range of tables that adds unique value to the sector, with its own identity that will make it one of esPattio’s star products. For Archirivolto Design, Baelo “has added the touch of home needed to give warmth to an office setting, which is often cold and impersonal”.

As well as innovating in the world of meeting tables, Baelo has excellent sustainability credentials. It is designed to be fully recyclable. 100% of its cardboard, wood, steel and polyethylene are recyclable, making it a product whose life cycle can be repeated at least six times. In addition, the rotomoulding technique used to produce its base eliminates almost all of the waste derived from manufacturing, avoiding the environmental impact of a material as long-lasting as plastic.

Archirivolto Design’s preferred finishes for Baelo

As you might expect, Baelo brings out the best of esPattio and its parent company, Forma 5. Baelo offers a huge number of colours and finishes that make it a completely customisable meeting table for any person or space.

Within its range of possibilities, Baelo’s base, created in white, black or grey after rotomoulding, can then be lacquered in all the colours offered by esPattio for this range. Also, its tabletops can be made from wood, lacquered wood, Fénix board, Dekton board or marble.

For some of the Archirivolto Design team, dark colours are best for the Baelo base, such as Black, Sombre or Alcázar, due to their resemblance to anthracite. “They are colours that clarify the shape and really enhance the piece’s surface”, the Italian designers explained to us. On the other hand, another part of the team prefers “wood finishes, adding warmth to the product and combining it with equally warm colours at the base“. Two radically different preferences that Baelo can deliver due to its wide range of colours and its many finishes.

esPattio and Archirivolto Design, a promising future

Baelo is the first design by Cristian Gori, Marco Pocci, Claudio Dondoli and the rest of the team of designers at Archirivolto Design for esPattio, a partnership that we hope to continue in many future designs. For Archirivolto Design, the best thing about working with esPattio is “interacting with competent people and with a new point of view thanks to the extensive track record of the entire Forma 5 Group”.

Asked about future designs for esPattio, Baelo’s creators were excited to be able to add “a chair, why not, or even better, a collection of seats to place around the Baelo table”, definitely an idea we will consider for the future of our catalogue.

Baelo, the most avant-garde meeting table, is here to stay

This new design blends a bold personality with simple shapes to host everything from informal gatherings to critical decision-making sessions.

This month is packed with news for esPattio! Today, we wanted to introduce our first range of meeting tables. Baelo stems from our desire to venture into the world of meeting table design and diversify it, making it adaptable to all types of spaces, from corporate offices to restaurants and even for the home.

Designed by Italy’s prestigious studio Archirivolto Design, Baelo comes to market combining the commitment to quality that has been Grupo Forma 5’s hallmark for decades with esPattio’s signature Light, Colour and Warmth.

Would you like to know which colours and finishes will be available? Are you intrigued by the story behind our first range of meeting tables? Take a look at this short article and discover what will surely become your favourite meeting table!

The meeting table that defines innovation at its source

Perhaps Baelo’s greatest feature is its pedestal – in the shape of a bell or an inverted cup – which is created using the innovative rotomoulding technique. The process involves feeding a liquid or powder polymer into a mould, which is placed in an oven at a high temperature and rotated on two perpendicular axes around its centre of gravity. This allows the polymer to adhere to the mould’s walls. This results in much lighter pedestals than we would be able to manufacture using other techniques.

Thanks to this process, we have managed to create a hollow and seamless polymer pedestal, making it a perfect choice for the electrification options offered for each of the tables in the Baelo range.

The rotomoulding process is also part of our sustainability initiative. It not only means a drastic reduction in waste as long-lasting and harmful as plastic, but also a reduction in energy consumption, as this process is much more energy-efficient. Two ways that help us to take care of the environment From our skin, for the Earth.

Baelo, the perfect table for any meeting

Normally, when we think of meeting tables, we imagine impersonal environments, formal discussions and enclosed, dark spaces. Baelo casts all these stereotypes aside and stands out thanks to its unique value: its adaptability.

Baelo can be adapted to almost anyone’s needs. It is available with round, square, rectangular, elliptical and barrel-shaped tabletops. It also comes in two different heights: 74 cm medium tables and 110 cm high tables. The high tables are only available as a round, square or rectangular table. Finally, Baelo has the option to vary the number of pedestals that make up its base, from one pedestal for individual tables up to five for its larger configurations. Added to the infinite number of dimensions available for its tabletops, this makes Baelo a perfect table not only for any meeting room in an office building, but also perfect for use in dining rooms, restaurants, conference rooms, libraries, rest areas or even a home office.

In a sector where users demand furniture that is easy to understand, manage and transform, Baelo exceeds expectations by integrating seamlessly into any office or restaurant space. According to its creators, the Italian designers from Archirivolto Design, Baelo “has brought a touch of that home feel to the sector, which is necessary to add warmth to often sterile and impersonal office environments”.

Baelos “Light, Colour and Warmth

As you will already know, the soft seating brand esPattio offers products that break the mould in the traditional office, and Baelo is no exception. An infinite number of colours and finishes are available for its pedestal and tabletop to personalise Baelo according to your preferences, making it the perfect addition to your project.

Starting with its pedestal, produced in black or white using the rotomoulding process, it can be lacquered in any of the colours esPattio offers for this range. In an exclusive interview, part of the Archirivolto Design team told us that their preference for the pedestal was cold colours such as Black, Sombra or Alcázar, since “they are colours that clarify the shape and enhance the piece’s surface”. However, the other half of the Italian studio indicated that they preferred warm colours such as Gorafe, Duna or Cal. Two radically different preferences comfortably covered by our colour range available for this range of meeting tables.

As for the tabletop finishes, esPattio offers materials that include lacquered wood in the esPattio colour range, Dekton board in Eter, Soke, Umber and Nacre or the Archirivolto Design team’s favourite: European oak.

All the finishes for the pedestal, plus the tabletop finishes and the multiple dimensions available, give rise to an infinite number of personalisation possibilities for Baelo, which you can view in its Catalogue, by visiting our Seville premises after contacting our sales team, or by making an appointment at our showrooms across the world.

Baelo and its sustainable value

At Grupo Forma 5, we have been committed to sustainable growth in the furniture manufacturing sector for years. One of our great values in this regard is eco-design, which means that we design the piece to be sustainable from the moment we start thinking about it – not by merely making concessions during the manufacturing, distribution or sales process. Baelo is designed to be fully recyclable. 100% of its cardboard, wood, steel and polyethylene are recyclable, making it a product whose life cycle can be repeated at least six times.

The paint used to produce Baelo pieces is powder-based, with no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Grupo Forma 5 has been committed to reducing emissions and waste from paint for over 20 years, from eliminating VOCs to reusing epoxy particles, recovering 83% of remaining particles using automated booth filters. This manages to eliminate the contaminating material.

DSIGNIO unravels the secrets of the pouf armchair, Platero

The designers of the new design tell us exclusively about all the details behind their latest creations.

Founded in 2002 in Madrid, DSIGNIO is the union of designers Patxi Cotarelo and Alberto Bejarano. This interior design and product studio is the creator of our latest launch: Platero.

With a trajectory of more than twenty years, the designers have been present at the best European design fairs and position themselves as an important studio in the concept of ‘Integral Design’, achieving this type of design in five Spanish hotels.

In this exclusive interview, Patxi Cotarelo and Alberto Bejarano unravel the secrets, inspiration and concerns with Platero, their first design for the soft seating brand.

Do you want to know what they told us? Join us in this short reading!

DSIGNIO: “Platero is movement, freedom and play”

For DSIGNIO, Platero is “a different seat, a different furniture concept that offers many possibilities”. In particular, they highlight the symbiosis between a “curved base that allows us to swivel and change position easily” and a side table where “we can write, use the laptop, the tablet, use it as a lectern…”.

Despite its multiple functionalities, for DSIGNIO the most important thing about Platero “is not what it allows us to do, but how we feel when we use it. Platero gives positive sensations. Platero is movement, it is play, it is freedom, it reminds us of moments of leisure… and these sensations open our minds and make us creative when we work”.

DSIGNIO: “Platero goes beyond”.

The inspiration behind Platero “comes from childhood, from moments of fun. Sometimes, as adults, it helps to look back and remember when we were children because those moments can bring us a lot in the present”.

According to DSIGNIO, they hope the Platero design will “open up a little-explored avenue” and will be “a piece that contributes to creating vibrant spaces for ideas to flow in a relaxed atmosphere“. The idea behind Platero is that if a person sees it for the first time, they will have “a pleasant surprise” and “they will sit down, try it out and discover the sensation of swinging”.

The innovation behind Platero comes from DSIGNIO’s reflection on the state of the office workplace today. According to the designers, “a workspace doesn’t have to be a boring place”, but Platero goes beyond that. It’s an object that allows us to interact with it constantly. We can rock, relax, have fun, concentrate and use it for different purposes; it’s really versatile.

DSIGNIO’s favourite colours for Platero

In Platero, esPattio brings out all its chromatic range of fabrics. Atlántico, Doñana, Gorafe, Maceta… There is plenty to choose from. For Dsignio, Platero “deserves to be accentuated with its upholstery, using colours that contrast with its beech wood with red, green or blue colours”.

Being such an original design, you may have doubts about where to place it in an office or your workspace. For DSIGNIO, “a good place in an office would be an informal meeting room, a space where we want to encourage communication and interaction between workers. At home, we can use it as a place to work in a room or the living room.”

It is easily transportable, so it doesn’t need its own space or a single use, as it is versatile. It also allows us to sit on it in different ways, so we recommend trying it out.

The future of DSIGNIO and esPattio

Platero is Patxi Cotarelo and Alberto Bejarano’s first design for esPattio, but we hope it won’t be the last. According to the designers, working with esPattio has allowed them to “bring to reality a project as particular as Platero, contribute and contribute to a daring, fresh and original catalogue“, highlighting esPattio as “a brand with a great future ahead of it”.

On future designs for esPattio, DSIGNIO commented they “have several ideas in their heads to define” and left the door open to collaborating again soon.

Platero, the pouffe armchair and the dream of the South

In September of 2024, a new product was launched, Platero, which is a combination of a side table and a classic pouffe. It is a symbiosis between the Andalusian artisan world of sculptors and image-makers and the new ideas of contemporary interior design.

Its warm wooden structure, colourful fabrics, comfort, functionality and bold design make this product one with the intrinsic esPattio hallmark: Light, Colour and Warmth.

Would you like to know all the details, what colours it is available in, the story behind this design, and the history behind this design? Join us on this ride and discover the guts of this seat!

Platero and his equestrian inspiration

This original piece finds its inspiration in the world of horses and the rural traditions of our land. Its shape, imitating a rocking horse, fills with life, nostalgia and originality any workspace or restroom where it is located. It is designed by Dsignio.

Such is its equine profile, which, to make the most of it, the whole team travelled to Jerez de la Frontera, specifically to the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, to get to know in detail the twin spirit of this seat: the Andalusian horse.

In the photographic session, you can see how this original pouffe was perfectly adapted to the architecture and magnificence of the palace, the school’s headquarters, giving unforgettable images, face-to-face with the grace and splendour of some of the best examples of this prestigious school.

classic puf seat Platero

The Light, Colour and Warmth of Platero

Despite being a new design, it has all the features that you can find in the brand’s products. In its design, we see three parts: its wooden structure, its fabrics and its back handle.

The wooden structure, in beech, fills anyone who sees the product for the first time with warmth. Even though most of its structure is under the fabric, it stands out in its differential element: the side table. This table fills Platero with functionality. It can be used as a support for a laptop, tablet, notebook or book, allowing you to work or pass the time while enjoying the comfort provided by its pouffe concept.

It is the fabrics that bring out the full potential of its original and southern chromatic range, from warmer tones, such as Gorafe or Doñana, to cooler ones, such as Atlántico or Maceta. In this way, multiple customisation options are offered to adapt to the preferences of any project.

Whether you own one or intend to buy an esPattio product, you have available the finishes, upholstery and maintenance recommendations.

If you would like to know its measurements and other technical characteristics, click here.

Its rear handle is an optional element to the standard design, i.e. it may or may not be present on the product. This handle made of Ubrique leather facilitates the mobility of the product, making it a portable design throughout the office, favouring fluid workspaces.

A design adaptable to any space

As you may already know, esPattio, a brand specialising in soft seating, offers products that break out of the classic office mould, and Platero is no exception. Its colourful and original design seeks to give a touch of modernity to workspaces or other types of spaces.

Its versatility makes it functional in an office, serving as a support for quick meetings or as part of a creative coworking space in breakout rooms, such as a waiting room or hotel reception, or convivial areas, such as an interior patio or a modern café.

Furthermore, Platero not only offers pure and simple functionality but also provides design to the point that, as a decorative element alone, it is an essential value for any space that you want to furnish with a different, colourful and modern touch.

Discover Amivera: A Contemporary Sofa with Exclusive Design

Launched in 2024, Amivera is much more than a piece of furniture: it’s a retreat where design and functionality meet. Designed by Jorge Herrera, this sofa stands out for its light yet robust metal frame combined with upholstered elements that ensure maximum comfort and a welcoming feel.

Available in one, two, and three-seater versions, Amivera fits any space, from living rooms to creative offices. Its design includes a unique feature: the piping, a touch of originality that outlines each piece and adds a distinctive flair to its aesthetic.

By the end of 2024, the Amivera family expanded with a table perfectly complementing this sofa, creating a comprehensive solution for work and leisure spaces.

Why Choose Amivera for Your Projects?

Amivera is not just a sofa; it’s a masterpiece of design that fits any professional or creative environment. Thanks to its versatility, it’s perfect for:

  • Offices: as a relaxation area or for informal meetings.
  • Hotels: creating cosy spaces in lobbies or suites.
  • Restaurants: offering an elegant and comfortable touch.
  • Museums: standing out with its timeless and refined design.

Its modular design also allows customisation according to project needs, always balancing style and functionality.

Amivera in iconic spaces: a journey from the South to the world

To showcase its full potential, we presented Amivera at the Carmen Thyssen Museum in Málaga, surrounded by works from artists such as Sorolla and Zurbarán. This iconic space perfectly reflected the cultural and artistic inspiration that defines both the museum and the sofa.

This presentation symbolises how Amivera can integrate into any architectural or interior design project, merging art and comfort in every detail.
